PROBLEM:  University of San Francisco wanted to launch its new Office of Sustainability, but lacked a communications strategy and collateral.
SOLUTION:  Produced a successful Earth Day event and a video, created website text, designed a brochure, and wrote a series of success stories.
IMPACT:  Green Happens Here incorporated into new student orientation.  Hundreds of students aware of the new Office of Sustainability.  Raised visibility of USF’s green successes.

PROBLEM:  University of San Francisco president wanted to highlight the key findings in Pope Francis’ Encyclical and his research on environmental ethics.
SOLUTION:  Produced a video that profiles the president and raises awareness of the link between climate change and faith.
IMPACTThe Beloved in Nature presented at a meeting with his mentor in Paris and highlighted in an article published on Triple Pundit.

PROBLEM:  New Website and little awareness of sustainability goals and program, no green brand nor consistent messaging, no success stories.

SOLUTION:  Monthly success stories on the sustainability Website, produced award-winning sustainability video with over 3,000 views, wrote first UCSF sustainability report.

IMPACT:  UCSF’s sustainability video won a Telly award in the employee engagement category, overall awareness of its green programs and priorities increased, and UCSF has won a range of awards for its sustainability programs.

County of Ventura

PROBLEM:  Sustainability information scattered on various different Web pages, no green brand nor consistent message, information dull, community not aware of successes.

SOLUTION:  Designed new green brand and message, produced a lively sustainability video, developed an action-oriented Website, and created an employee engagement tool.

IMPACT:  Employees more engaged, green champions recognized, enhanced awareness of the County’s green  programs.

PROBLEM:  Launching new cross-sector  program, but lacked the internal staff capacity to create success stories.

SOLUTION:  Provided grant writing support for the creation of a MomentUS and wrote original content, creating a series of success stories that highlight best practices  (see Blessed Tomorrow).

IMPACT:  Helped to raise seed funding for MomentUS and supported launch of Blessed Tomorrow with original success stories for the new Website.

Pacifica Land Trust

PROBLEM:  Starting a new coastal restoration project, but had no Website nor strategy for engaging the public.

SOLUTION:  Provided program management support and created Website content and design to educate and engage the public and build a mailing list of new volunteers  (see www.pedropointheadlands.org)

IMPACT:  New Website a successful hub for engaging the public around the restoration project.  Mailing list growing on a monthly basis.

Haas Center for Responsible Business

PROBLEM:  Needed a seasoned professional to produce CRB’s 10-Year Anniversary and manage a crowdfunding campaign.

SOLUTION:  Design and launch of crowdfunding fundraising campaign, crafted a series of blog posts, and managed marketing for 10-Year Anniversary event.

IMPACT:  Raised over $200,000 to support the Haas SRI Fund, increased awareness of CRB’s work, and 10-Year Anniversary event sold out.
